Conquest
of the fence
Once upon a time, on
a cold winter day I was going home. Everything seemed nice and great
to me: I just had a cup of coffee and a chocolate and nothing could
make me more happier
I approached the
gate leading to my house. I didn't have the keys, so I pressed the
button of the door bell. But it didn't work. The bell was frozen. I
didn't care much. I'll call my sister and she will come and open the
gate for me.
I took out my phone.
But my sister didn't reply. I was still calm. I called my mom, then
dad, but no one answered. “How strange!” - thought I - “Are
they all busy?”
Only after some
amount of time I understood that my calls didn't come through as my
phone balance was gone.
I realized that the
situation in which I found myself wasn't funny at all. It was 4
o'clock. My dad comes at 6. Mom is at the training with my brother
and they will return very late. I had two possibilities: I could wait
for to hours outdoors until my dad comes or I could do something.
But what?... From
despair I went to the shop I bought another cup of coffee.
Suddenly, an idea
went into my head. I could just climb on the fence and I'll be at
home! Spiny bushes that were on the way didn't really matter. I was
determined.
After looking around
(people could think that I was a thief or was crazy), I began the
advance.
But it was
impossible to go through the bushes! They clinged to clothes and
hair, so I got stock half way. I panicked and crawled back.
After I while I
repeated the attempt. This time I wouldn’t use turtle method (I was
moving too slowly through the bushes). I rushed. When I opened my
eyes I was already behind the shrubbery.
But another problem
appeared: I couldn't reach the fence. There was no way back. I stood
on one of the boughs. It was staggering. I holded the iron bars. The
only thing left was just to pull myself up. My legs were shaking. I
was nervous and scared. I wanted to cry and go away. “Don't panic”
- told I to myself “Everything's all right.”
Abruptly I pulled
myself up and grabbed the cold bars with all my force. I conquered
the fence. My sufferings ended. When I reached home I figured out
why my sister didn't look at the gate and did not hear anything. She
was having fun with her best friend and listening to very loud
music...
